Get Beneath the Surface.

These workshops are all about introducing participants to a different perspective.

A fresh perspective that helps you understand and recognise the interactive dynamics going on under the surface of our everyday behaviours. Offering resources that will empower you to begin to make changes that will positively influence you and those around you.

The two workshops I currently offer are specifically for church pastors.

Flourishing in Ministry
Embedded in Relationship

These are grounded in empirical research and informed by nearly 20 years experience of living and working alongside those in ministry.

These workshops are ideal to offer as continuing ministerial development opportunities. They are suitable for clergy from all denominations. Course details will always be tailored to your individual requirements.

Please get in contact if you have responsibility for organising continuing ministerial development and would like to know more.

Flourishing in Ministry

‘Why you know what you need to do but you don’t do it’

Ministers are surrounded by good advice.
Advice about what you should do, be and think in order to thrive in your role and have a healthy ministry-life balance.

But why is it so hard to put it into practise?
Why are so many great intentions lying strewn by the wayside?

This workshop goes behind the scenes to help you understand how your personal story, the pressure of relationship and the impact of the congregational group can topple our best intentions.

This 1-day interactive workshop will enable you to:

  • Consider the impact of relational dynamics on 3 key areas of ministry: Healthy pastoral care, productive team work and positive congregational culture
  • Understand the 3 levels of relational interactions pastors constantly operate in
  • Unpack your role within the congregational system
  • Learn 3 practical tools to foster growing relational maturity

Embedded in Relationship

‘Bringing a Relational Perspective to Ministry’

Ministry is inherently relational.
Indeed the greatest pain and the greatest joy in ministry can stem from relationships.

Yet so often clergy are not given the tools to understand the complex relational dynamics of ministerial life.
This can result in personal stress and anxiety, stalled team work, congregational conflict and spiritual dryness.

This workshop is for those in congregational leadership. Helping you get beneath the surface of leadership and management advice to understand the relational dynamics that are really in the driving seat.

This 1-day interactive workshop will

  • Introduce the impact of relationship on personal and congregational well-being
  • Understand the 3 levels of relational interactions pastors constantly operate in
  • Unpack your role within the congregational system
  • Learn 3 practical tools to foster growing relational maturity
  • 3 key areas of ministry will be explored: Healthy pastoral care, productive team work, positive congregational culture

What to do now?

If you are interested in offering one of these workshops to a group of ministers and would like to know more, please send me an email.

We will then talk by telephone to identify your requirements and explore what these courses can offer.
